So there is this hype with vegan/ plant-based foods around the world. With the alarming climate change, compassionate people these days try to help the progressively perishing earth. And here in the Philippines, you won't believe it but there is a lot of it now in the market. From your favorite fast-food chains to fine dine-in restaurants.

If there's a demand, of course, businesses will do something about it. Whether they care about the earth or they just want something new to offer. Kudos to them for trying. hahaha

ArmyNavy is known for its signature burgers and burritos. We all know that the main ingredient of those said foods is beef. The leading climate-damaging of all the foods.

If you want to know more about it. I will put some links below.

Anyway, It seems that this burger + burrito chain wants to follow the footsteps of many others that already have plant-based alternatives on their menu. Last may 2021 they introduced their "environment-friendly" line of foods. I got excited about it. But sad to say, their menu is not perfectly vegan.

I ordered their plant-based breakfast burrito, (255.00 PHP) and Tortilla soup. (140.00 PHP) not specified as plant-based but the grandma in me wants soup. hahaha

According to their site, it has scrambled eggs. But the meat which is usually beef is now free of any animal by-product. I think it would be so much better if they also indicate what kind of replacement they are using. If it's tofu or mushroom, like what other stores are doing.

Regarding the taste, the meat still has its "smokey" flavor in it. hahaha Nothing changed actually, they just replaced the meat. To be honest, I wish I just ordered their vegetable burrito, I miss the taste of guacamole. It is worth a try though.

ArmyNavy's best seller Bully Boy Burger which consists of Tripple patty burger has its plant-based counterpart too. (495.00 PHP)

They also offer Plant-Based Soft Taco (245.00 PHP) and Plant-Based Quesadilla (255.00 PHP)

Mine was delivered by grab food. If you want to know their latest menu you can view it on their site
